There are numerous bacteria on our skin that coexist with us. Staphylococcus bacteria when combined with the clogged oil glands leads to the formation of a stye. The main cause of emergence of internal stye is the infection of Meibomian gland. These glands are present on the eyelids, and abnormal functioning of it may cause dry eye. 1. Warm Compress

Warm compress is one of the most used natural remedies that reduce inflammation. Put some water to boil and soak a clean washcloth or towel in it. Place the dipped washcloth on eyes for 10-15 minutes. The heat of compress helps drain out the pus naturally. Repeat the process three to four times a day.

2. Potato

Place a slice of potato on eyes to get quick relief. Moreover, prepare a paste of potato by adding some water. Now, put the paste on a clean cloth and place it over the infected area. This remedy will surely alleviate swelling and pain.

  • Alternatively, grate some potato and make a poultice to get rid of the stye.

3. Gold Ring

It sounds very strange that a gold ring can also be an effective remedy for eye stye. The atoms of gold get mixed with the infestation and help prevent them. Herbal Remedies for Stye

19. Coriander Seeds

Soak some coriander seeds in water. After one hour, filter this water and wash the infected area with it. For quick results, follow this method thrice a day. It will surely reduce swelling.

  • Alternatively, Boil a cup of water and add a teaspoon of coriander seeds. Strain the solution and wash your eyes with it thrice a day.

20. Guava Leaf Compress

The leaves of guava help reduce pain and swelling in stye. Soak some guava leaves in warm water. Place these dipped guava leaf directly on the eye like a hot compress. Leave it for ten minutes. Repeat the process two to three times.

21. Turmeric

Turmeric is an incredible herb used for healing several disorders occurring inside and outside the body. Boil two cups of water until it reduces to half. Add one teaspoon of turmeric powder in it.
