Wrinkles are the most evident signs of aging which are generally not welcomed open-heartedly. Wrinkles basically appear on the face, neck, back of hands, and top of forearms, due to changes in fibroblasts (1). The main reasons of wrinkles are aging, smoking, over exposure to sun, pollution (2, 3), poor diet (4), dehydration (5), drugs (6), genetics (7) and rapid weight loss (8). The process of skin aging can speed up with over exposure to UV rays. The major symptoms of wrinkles are – fragile and saggy skin, fine lines, crow feet, and deep furrows. Women try dermal fillers, anti-aging creams, Botox treatment, and many other chemical methods which are not effective in the long run and may cause a hole in the pocket. Here are some good and natural home remedies to get rid of wrinkles.
Home Remedies for Wrinkles
Pineapple is rich in vitamin C and helps rejuvenate and tone the skin, and remove the wrinkles. Besides that, Bromelain, which is an active ingredient found in pineapples, acts as a skin debriding agent and keeping the skin firm and wrinkle free. (10, 11)
Mash a slice of pineapple and apply the pulp on the skin. Leave it for ten minutes and then rinse with water.
- Alternatively, you can apply pineapple juice with the help of a cotton ball.
2. Milk Powder Paste
Apply a paste made of honey (2 tbsp), milk powder (4 tbsp) and warm water (2tbsp) for about 10-15 minutes and then rinse well with water. Honey will bring back the lost glow of the skin and milk powder will tighten the skin.
Milk powder contains lactic acid, which is one of the natural alpha hydroxy acids (12) that are capable of shedding dead skin cells, and boost the growth of elastin and collagen (13, 14). Milk is also enriched with Retinol, and it’s topical usage on skin counteracts skin wrinkling. (15)

Coconut oil has been used since ages to treat the skin problems well. Apply coconut oil on the skin regularly, to remove the wrinkles.

Banana is another very effective way to treat wrinkles at home. Mash and apply banana on the skin for about half an hour and then wash it off with the help of water.
Cucumber is a very good cooling agent that soothes the skin and makes it soft. Place two cool cucumber slices on your eye for some time. Repeat the process 4-5 times a day, to remove under eye wrinkles.

Apricot is a very rich source of magnesium, potassium, phosphorus and calcium. Apply a paste of 2 crushed apricots, honey (2 tbsp), cold milk and lime juice (1 tbsp) for 10 minutes daily. This home remedy will make your skin tighter and radiant.
Note: Always put on moisturizer after applying this paste on the skin.
Ginger is another good remedy which can aid you in getting rid of wrinkles easily. All you have to do is take crushed ginger and add honey to it. Consume it every morning. It will work as a defensive agent against wrinkles.
Take 3-4 strawberries, mash them and mix 1 tablespoon of honey in it. Application of this paste regularly will work well on the wrinkles.
Garlic is a foolproof remedy for slowing down the process of aging and making the skin glossy. Consume 2-3 garlic cloves daily.

Take a metal spoon and keep it in the refrigerator for a while. Apply the chilled spoon under the eye every morning, to reduce the wrinkles.
