Every girl dreams of having a picture perfect, glowing, soft, and flawless skin. But, skin’s quality and texture get damaged due to many factors such as excessive smoking, pollution, lack of sleep, UV rays, improper nutrition, stressful lifestyle, etc. Lack of oxygen and improper blood flow are also the reason for a dull and dark skin. There are many beauty products available in the market that promise to provide glowing, fair skin. But, one should not rely on these products as they are full of chemicals and can damage your skin permanently in a long run. Instead of these products, you can try some of the remedies which can be prepared using easily available ingredients at your home.
Honey is full of antioxidants, enzymes, etc. It is antibacterial in nature and nourishes and hydrates the skin. It is one of the oldest used ingredients for the skin problems. You can prepare many face packs and masks using honey, to make your skin glow.
1. Honey and Lemon
Lemon helps lighten the skin, and its antibacterial compounds help decrease the appearance of scars. For this face pack, mix 1 tbsp of honey with 1 tbsp of lemon and apply it all over your face. Let the pack sit for 15 minutes and rinse off later.
2. Honey and Milk
Milk helps improve complexion and is a natural cleanser. You can make a face mask by mixing 2 tbsp milk with 1 tbsp of honey. Apply it all over your face and neck and leave it for 15 to 20 minutes. Wash with lukewarm water later on.
3. Honey and Papaya
Papaya is rich in vitamin C, flavonoids, minerals, potassium, and magnesium, which are beneficial for the skin. Mash some pieces of papaya and mix 1 tbsp of honey to it. Apply the pack on your face and leave it for 15 minutes. Wash with normal to lukewarm water.
4. Honey and Carrot
Carrots are well-off in vitamins C and K, and beta-carotene which helps prevent wrinkles. Make a puree of carrot by grinding it. Mix 2 tbsp of the prepared puree with 1 tbsp honey and apply it on your face. Let the pack rest for 15 minutes. Wash it with cold water later.
5. Honey and Baking Soda
Mix 2 tbsp of honey with 1 tbsp of baking soda. Gently rub the mixture on your face and massage in a circular motion for 5 minutes. Rinse afterward.
Note – Be cautious while using baking soda. It may cause irritation.
6. Honey and Strawberry
This is one of the most effective face packs for lightening the skin tone. Make a paste by adding a few strawberries and honey in a blender. Apply the paste on your face gently and leave it for some time (10-15 minutes). Wash off with cold water later on.
Turmeric is a natural antiseptic agent that reduces the scar. It has anti-aging properties that help soothe the allergy, inflammation, and infection of the skin.
7. Cream, Gram Flour, and Turmeric
Mix thoroughly a pinch or two of turmeric, 2 tbsp of gram flour and 1 teaspoon of cream to form a paste. If you have dry skin, add a few drops of almond oil or olive oil to it. Apply this paste on your face and leave it for 20 minutes. Rinse off later with the normal to warm water.
8. Sandalwood and Turmeric
Sandalwood is helpful in soothing the pimples, acne, blemishes, rashes, etc. Prepare a paste by mixing 1 tbsp of sandalwood and 1/4th tbsp of turmeric with water. Add a few drops of almond oil for the dry skin. Apply this to your face and neck. Keep it for 15 minutes. Wash off afterward.
9. Oatmeal, Turmeric, Lemon Face Scrub
Oatmeal is effective in addressing the symptoms like itching and rashes, and also helps fight dull, dry skin. To make a scrub, mix a pinch of turmeric, a few drops of lime juice and 1 tbsp oatmeal powder. Apply the scrub on your face and massage in a circular motion for 5 minutes. After this, leave the pack for another 15 minutes. Rinse with cold water afterward.
10. Egg White and Turmeric Pack
Egg maintains the elasticity of the skin and reduces the fine lines. To make a pack, mix 1 egg white, a few drops of olive or almond oil, 1 tbsp rose water, lemon juice and a pinch of turmeric. Apply the pack on your face and neck and leave it for 15 minutes. Wash off with the lukewarm water.
11. Turmeric Powder and Orange Juice
If you have oily or normal skin, try this face pack. Mix turmeric powder and orange juice to form a smooth paste. Apply it to your face and neck and gently massage for a couple of minutes. Leave this mask for 20 minutes and wash off. Pat dry with a towel.
12. Cucumber, Lemon & Turmeric Pack
Cucumber rejuvenates the skin and helps improve complexion and reduces the appearance of freckles. Take 1 tablespoon of cucumber juice, a few drops of lemon juice and a pinch or two of turmeric powder. Mix them well. Apply this pack on your skin for a shiny look. Leave it for 15 minutes and wash off later. Follow with a good moisturizer.
Bananas are full of zinc, lectin, amino acid, vitamin C, A, E, and B6. These nutrients and compounds help maintain the integrity and elasticity of the skin. They also keep acne at bay, slows down the process of aging, repairs the damaged, dull and dry skin.
13. Banana, Honey, Curd or Yogurt
If you have dry skin, then you can use this face pack. Just mash a banana (you can use fork or spoon for this) and add some honey and curd to it. Make a thick paste and apply it all over your face leaving areas around eyes. Let it stay for some time and wash.
14. Banana and Almond Oil Pack
For this pack, you will need only two ingredients. Just mash a banana and add a few drops of almond oil to it. Massage all over your face for 5 minutes and leave it for another couple of minutes. Wash off with cold water and pat dry your skin.
15. Banana and Egg White
This face mask suits all skin types. It will not only make your skin look younger but also tighten it. For preparing this mask, all you need to do is mash some banana into a smooth paste. Mix egg white in it and make sure that the paste is not too thin. Apply the paste all over your face and neck and massage for 5 minutes. Let it dry after the massage. Wash off with the lukewarm water and pat dry your skin.

16. Potato Pulp and Lemon
The best way to get rid of blemishes and dark spots is to use this pack. Just blend one potato and make a smooth paste. Squeeze juice of one lemon in it and mix thoroughly. Apply the pack on your face for 15 minutes. Wash off later on.
17. Lemon and Fuller’s Earth Powder
The oil absorbing properties of lemon and fuller’s earth powder will absorb the extra oil from your skin. Just take 1 tbsp of this powder and add around 2 tbsp of lime juice to it. Mix a little amount of water to make a smooth paste. Apply the mix on your face and let it dry completely. Wash with normal to cold water afterward. Do this at least twice a week for better results.
18. Sandalwood, Rosewater, Lemon

Mix 1 tbsp of sandalwood powder with equal amount of lemon juice and rose water. Form a smooth, lump-free paste. Apply this mix on your face and massage gently for 5 minutes. This is another exfoliating scrub that you can prepare for glowing skin. Sugar is a natural source of glycolic acid that helps even out the skin tone and clears the pores. Take 1 tbsp fine sugar or preferably brown sugar and squeeze juice of half a lemon in it. Mix ½ tbsp of honey to it and massage your face gently with this scrub. After massaging, use lukewarm water to wash your face.
20. Lemon, Gram Flour, Turmeric, Rose Water/ Curd
For this face pack, you will need the juice of half a lemon, 1 tbsp gram flour, 1 tbsp rose water or curd and a pinch or two of turmeric powder. Mix all the ingredients well and form a smooth paste. Apply this on your face, neck, hands and wherever needed. Keep it for 15 to 20 minutes and let it dry. Wash off with normal to lukewarm water.

21. Cucumber, Watermelon, Yogurt, Milk Powder
This is one of the best face packs for sensitive skin. Cucumber in this pack helps provide relief from itching and burning sensation. Milk acts as a cleanser and watermelon works as a natural toner. Take 2 tbsp juice of both cucumber and watermelon. Add 1 tbsp of yogurt and 1 tbsp of milk powder to it. Make a smooth paste and apply the mix for 15 minutes on your face.
22. Strawberry and Yogurt
Strawberries contain ellagic acid which helps remove acne/pimple scars and blemishes. It is equally effective in reducing damage caused by the harmful UV rays. Mash some strawberries and add enough amount of yogurt to form a smooth paste. Apply the paste on your face and let it dry completely. Rinse off with cold water and pat dry thoroughly.
23. Tomato, Honey, and Yogurt
The combination of honey, yogurt and tomato make the best face pack for fairness and tan removal. It nourishes the skin and makes it soft. Mix 1 tbsp of honey, 2 tbsp of yogurt and 2 tbsp of tomato puree in a bowl. Apply a thin layer of this mix using a brush on your face. Let it dry partially and apply another layer over it. Let the pack stay on your skin for 20 minutes and wash off afterward.
24. Avocado, Olive Oil, Yogurt
Avocado is rich in antioxidants, alpha-carotene, beta-cryptoxanthin, and lutein. It prevents aging and improves the skin’s texture. Olive oil maintains the elasticity of the skin and keeps it smooth and soft. For the face pack, mash some amount of avocado and mix ½ tbsp of olive oil and 1 tbsp of yogurt to it. To remove the excess oil from your face, try this face pack. Take half an apple and mash it using a blender. Mix 2-3 tbsp of yogurt and a few drops of honey to it. Mix all the ingredients well and apply it on your face in a circular motion. Let it dry and wash off with the regular water.
26. Orange and Yogurt
Take peel of an orange. Dry it and grind it into a fine powder. Take 1- 2 tbsp of this powder and mix 1 tbsp of yogurt to it. Apply it on your face and leave it for 15 minutes. Do this twice a week for the glowing skin.
27. Mango and Yogurt
Mix some mango juice and yogurt together and form a smooth cream-like consistency. This mix will be thin, so apply it carefully. After applying the mixture, leave it for 20 minutes and wash off with water.
28. Turmeric and Yogurt
Turmeric has lots of antibacterial properties. It helps reduce pigmentation and improves skin’s elasticity. Take a tbsp or two of yogurt and add 1/4th tsp of turmeric to it. Mix them well and apply it on your face. Remove when dry. Do this once a week.

30. Kiwi and Avocado Face Pack
This face pack is suitable for all skin types. Avocados have a good amount of antioxidants. They are also rich in alpha and beta-carotene which protects the skin from environmental damage. Kiwi contains a high amount of vitamin C, E, omega-3 fatty acid, minerals, etc., which helps treat dull and dry skin. Just mash equal amount of kiwi and avocado and form a smooth lump-free paste.
31. Grapes and Apple Face Pack
Grapes are rich in vitamin C and E. It provides protection against harmful sun rays. Take a ½ apple and few grapes (8-10). Mash them in a blender to form a smooth puree. Using a makeup brush, apply it on your face and neck and let it dry. Wash off afterward and use a soft towel to pat dry the skin.
32. Mango Face Pack
Mangoes contain collagen which is beneficial for the soft and healthy skin and are rich in vitamin A. Take out the pulp from ripe mango and massage it all over your face for a few minutes. Leave it for some time and rinse well.

For this face pack, blend 1/2 a banana and 1/2 avocado. Apply the resultant paste on your neck, face and other exposed areas. You will notice an instant difference in your skin after applying this pack. Do this twice a week to make your skin glow.

Prepare a face pack using both the fruits for a flawless, glowing complexion. Mash equal amount of kiwi and banana in a bowl and mix them well. Using your hand, massage on your face in a circular motion for 10 minutes and rinse off with normal water.

This pack moisturizes the skin and makes it smooth and soft. Mash a few strawberries and mix pulp of 1/2 a kiwi in it. Apply for 15 minutes and wash off later on.

This face pack reduces the acne and blackheads. You will need 1 tbsp of dried orange peel powder and some rose water. You can add some honey if you have dry skin. Mix the ingredients well and make a smooth paste. Apply this paste on your face for 15 minutes.

42. Strawberry and Chocolate Pack
For this skin glowing face mask, all you need is 4 strawberries and 1 tbs cocoa powder. Mash the strawberries and add cocoa powder to it. Apply the mixture on your face and leave it for 20 minutes. Wash with lukewarm water after 20 minutes.
43. Mango, Honey, Almonds, and Gram Flour
Take the pulp of 1 small mango, 1 tbsp honey, 5-6 almonds, and 3-4 tsp gram flour. Mix them well using a blender so that there are no lumps. Apply the mix and leave it for 15 minutes and rinse off.
44. Bread Crumbs and Milk Cream
The yeast in bread helps kill bacteria of the skin. Take some bread crumbs according to your requirement and add milk cream to it. Make a paste and apply it on your clear face. Let the paste sit for some time and rinse with cold water.
45. Sunflower Seeds and Milk
Sunflower seeds prevent from free radical damage as it has a good amount of vitamin E. It has a lot of antioxidants also, which prevents from environmental damage.
